Holiday S’mores Popcorn Recipe
AN OOEY AND GOOEY, EASY AND DELICIOUS S’MORES-INSPIRED SNACK
I cannot express to you enough how deep my obsession with s’mores is. I honestly can’t get enough and am super excited to share one of my favorite (and super messy) sweet snacks. My favorite of my smores-inspired snacks is this s’mores popcorn!
If you are joining me from Sarah’s blog at The Love we Give, WELCOME! Moscow Mules are another love of mine, and this Holiday Cranberry Mule Cocktail is so dang good! My name is Morgan and I am DIYing my own home renovation. I aim to inspire others to DIY and learn to create their dream home themselves.
One thing that a lot of you may not know, is that I also love to cook and bake. I don’t have a ton of recipes on this site, but the ones I do post, I’m obsessed with them.
This might be the easiest recipe of them all.
Ingredients:
- Popcorn
- Milk chocolate chips/M&Ms
- Mini Marshmallows
- Cookie Sheet
- Aluminum Foil
- Large bowl
I don’t typically measure it out, I just eyeball it but these are rough estimates.
This is where I’m going to lose some of you, but I promise that I won’t lead you astray!
Don’t go overboard with the chocolate. *gasp* I can’t believe I just said that. I know you’re upset with me because I can hear you saying “Morgan, what are you talking about? You can never go overboard with chocolate!”
In fact, I try to stick with plainer popcorn for this recipe because it can easily become too decadent and sweet. As is the case with a delicious s’more, it’s about striking balance.
Some people love a perfectly browned single marshmallow atop 3 tiny Hershey’s chocolates in their Graham Crackers. Other people, LIKE ME, prefer 2 charred marshmallows atop 2 tiny Hershey’s chocolates.
Follow these steps to create the perfectly delicious (with the perfect chocolate to popcorn ratio) s’mores popcorn!

You’re gonna need mini marshmallows, chocolate chips (add M&M’s for seasonal color but they don’t melt as good so you still need the chips), and popped popcorn.
Pour out onto a foil-lined baking sheet. Pick through and remove all the kernels, accidentally biting into one of those can break a tooth!
Sprinkle your marshmallows! I like to have a nice even layer across the top. Pop it into the oven on broil.
Constantly watch and rotate if needed till you get the perfect browning all over. Do not look away for 30 seconds because you want the marshmallows to brown but be on the lookout for burning the popcorn. The more marshmallows that cover the popcorn, the less burnt popcorn you’ll get.
While warm, add chocolate chips and only some M&Ms so that the chips get melty
Also while still warm, use the foil to fold the mixture into itself into a bowl. This is the cleanest way to do it.

Enjoy while warm! this is a messy marshmallowy mess and there is no real clean way to eat it.
ENJOY IMMEDIATELY
As I said, I’m obsessed with s’mores and this s’mores popcorn recipe is so delicious! This is almost like a popcorn version of rice crispy treats that you eat while warm! It becomes harder to eat the longer it sits. Be warned, this is ooey and gooey and you and your friends/family/children will have marshmallow-y hands!
If you wish to eat in a less messy way, maybe eat it using a pair of tongs?
