YOU CAN MAKE AN EASY DIY A BEAUTIFUL MAGNOLIA WREATH
This quick magnolia wreath is so stunning! The deep green of the leaves and the gorgeous copper tones on the back of the leaves give a beautiful contrast to my black door.
If you are coming from Lindsey’s Christmas Countdown, at the Lindsey Kate Home blog, welcome! Wasnt her Easy Christmas Countdown made from a linen towel super cute?
I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Morgan and I am making over my 1989, super dated home room by room, complete with wallpaper, paneling, and a different colored carpet in every room. Right now we are making a quick magnolia wreath for my front door!

SUPPLIES
- Fiskars Shears
- 18″ Wire Wreath Frame
- Floral tape or floral wire
- Fresh Magnolia Branches clipped from your yard! If you don’t have any, check out Trader Joes this time of the year or artificial branches from a craft store.

You’ll know you have the right tree when you see these dark leathery leaves with a vibrant copper color on the back! When clipping branches, try to clip at joints to promote growth.
Honestly this quick magnolia wreath was super affordable! I already had everything so it was free for me but these items are mega cheap if you don’t have them yet.
LET’S GET STARTED
- Gather all the supplies and rinse the stems

2. Start by trimming the branches to create easier to handle sizes

Remove offshoot branches, leaves, and excess stems

Repeat as necessary for all the branches

Lookout for bugs that made it past rinsing!
This can be messy so clean as you go

Start layering the branches. Trim stems and leaves as needed. Use floral tape or wire to secure to the wire frame.

Depending on the length of the branches, some stems will need to be secured in multiple spots along the stem.

Layer smaller branches to fill in the gaps
I loved using longer stems with large leaves because it covered more of the wreath with less work
Repeat all the way around the frame and infill gaps as you go
Hang your wreath and enjoy!
